Gourley’s Roofmatix is a third generation family business. In 1930, Sean’s great grandfather, Hector Gourley, started what was to become a successful building company that was responsible for many large projects in the Fish Hoek area and surrounds. This was taken over by Sean’s father, Pat Gourley, who continued the business as a building contractor and later on became a local building inspector.
Sean Gourley, under the wings of the late Ken Bell, felt a need to specialize in roofing and waterproofing, and due to the demand and the expertise he had acquired, branched out and started trading as Gourley’s Roofmatix a waterproofing and roofing contractor in Cape Town .
Being a local Fish Hoek lad, with many long-standing social connections, Sean is a firm believer in his responsibility to his community and the reputation he has created for his himself together with the work he undertakes. As a member of the Seven Seas Committee; the historic family connections formed in the early Sleepy Hollow Farm days and well cemented relationships with major, local Estate Agents, each job of work is tackled with the same enthusiasm, detail and quality that has become synonymous with Gourley’s Roofmatix!
